MISSION

There is no doubt that working in Emergency Services can and will leave scars on the employee. In over two decades in the Fire Service, David Wiklanski has seen firsthand the number of physical injuries that this job can entail. What's worse than the physical injuries though, are the psychological ones. The psychological injuries are the ones that we are conditioned to not speak about as we will be seen as weak. The stigma associated with a psychological injury is still present in today's culture and that needs to change.

David Wiklanski travels internationally to speak on mental health in emergency services to address the culture and stigma that is preventing our responders from gaining access to the care that they deserve.
